Steel City Shootout  is an eight and under tournament based out of the Pelham Civic Complex in Pelham, Alabama.  The tournament is held in early December with brackets separated into A & B divisions.

Tournament Rules

• All rosters must be USA hockey certified.
• All games will use blue pucks.
• Games are half ice 4v4 with Intermediate nets and a goalie.
• The buzzer will sound every two minutes for a line change.
• All games will be 20 minute, run time, with exception of the Championship/ Consolation games, which will be 24 minutes.
• Face offs will begin each shift, refs will NOT wait for all players to be ready .
• After a goal, the ref will place the puck behind the net to continue on with the play.
• If a penalty shall be called, the player will be removed from the ice for the remaining of their two minute shift.
• End of round robin play, the #1 and #2 seed teams will play for the championship and #3 and #4 seed with play in a consolation game.
